Hold Me Down (Album Version (Explicit))
50 Cent revisits his earlier street recordings with short bursts of minor-chord melodies and pained grunts. There's lots of psycho street talk as well, and 50 Cent has even adopted Em's obsession with '80s schlock horror. And, of course, there are the diss tracks: "So Disrespectful" features a few well-placed jabs at Jay-Z and the Game, while "Death To My Enemies," with its clanging, 3am churn, takes a couple shots at Weezy. 50 is still great at projecting menace, but when paired with Eminem on "Psycho," his limitations as a rapper become clear. Still, this will satisfy the G-Unit faithful.
