Hell Is What You Make It
Label: Fearless Records/Columbia
Proof that Nostradamus was sometimes wrong: this is Breathe Carolina's third album to mix up pop-punk, screamo and glossy electronic music, and the world still hasn't come to an end. The truth is, after Skrillex, a band like Breathe Carolina seems far less audacious (which might explain their occasional forays into dubstep rhythms here). "Wooly" is typical of their style, switching from pop to grindcore to trance several times over the course of the song. If that sounds like your kind of Groundhog Day, let Breathe Carolina be your Bill Murray.
