The lady we first met with a "Jar of Hearts" in hand is back with a second album that's just as dramatic and emotional as her debut -- but with a stronger emphasis on finely tuned songcraft. Head or Heart explores the breadth of those two driving forces: Perri gets stylistically clever (see the film-noirish "Run" or the spaghetti western "Lonely Child") and cerebrally introspective (the hushed "The Words"). But she also does plenty of just letting her emotions take over, from the sweeping ballad "One Night" to the viral wedding video fodder "Be My Forever." All of it is impeccably performed.
