Perhaps 2011's Night of Hunters wasn't Tori Amos' finest collection, but the record's orchestral settings were an apt setting for her dramatic songwriting. Gold Dust capitalizes on the strengths of that record -- namely the lush orchestral accompaniment and spacious production -- and revisits some of the songs for which Amos is best known. But it is more than merely a high-class greatest hits. Although three tracks come from 1992's Little Earthquakes, the effort also features songs that span Amos' long career, including standout "Programmable Soda," originally on 2007's American Doll Posse.
