Bulletproof Picasso is just further proof that Train are expert chameleons. While the act's sound remains rooted in neo-AOR winery rock, each album finds them adding flourishes that reflect whatever pop trends are, at the time of its release, dominating the charts. This time around, Train juggles modern folk-rock (check out the Lumineers-sounding "Angel in Blue Jeans") with Lorde-tinged anthem-pop ("I Will Remember"). Not only that, they manage to slip in one cut, "The Bridge," that totally echoes Bruno Mars. You have to hand it to Train: They sure know how to roll with the changes.
